VANESSA STEPAN Child Birth Educator, Doula & Photographer 

Hi, I’m Vanessa! My favorite place to be (besides our annual beach vacation) is in the mountains skiing with my family! When I’m not at a birth, you can find me editing photos at a coffee shop, carting kids to gymnastics + baseball or watching a good documentary. I’m a proud Syracuse University alum, Massachusetts native, enneagram 3w2 and Air Force wife. My family is currently stationed in Colorado Springs, CO along with our three children Bradley (10), Arlyn (8) and Adler (3). As an Air Force spouse, I have a huge heart for serving fellow military families and as of 2024, I proudly accept TriCare insurance.

Ever since the unmedicated birth of my first son, Bradley (birth story here), I knew I wanted to share the knowledge and wisdom that I had acquired to help other couples have positive and informed birth experiences as well. After the birth of my daughter in November 2016 (birth story here) and the homebirth of my son, Adler in 2021 (birth story here), my passion for pregnancy, physiological birth, breastfeeding and attachment parenting ran even deeper. I even decided to pursue a journey as a gestational surrogate to help bring life into the world for a couple with infertility (and had my 4th unmedicated delivery in 2023).

As of May 2015, I completed my training in Dallas, TX to became a certified Birth Boot Camp Instructor. In July 2024, I completed my ToLabor doula certification as part of my requirement to become a TriCare Certified Labor Doula. In addition to teaching childbirth classes and providing doula services, I also offer photography packages to capture all stages of life. It’s truly an honor to support each and every one of my clients and I look forward to connecting with you!
