After experiencing our own powerful, unmedicated births and seeing firsthand the difference that informed, compassionate support can make, we both felt called to walk alongside other families during this incredible season.

Through our combined years of supporting and educating families—and plenty of military moves along the way—we’ve had the opportunity to serve families in different communities and experience many different approaches to birth. Those experiences have shaped the way we support our clients today: with education, encouragement, hands-on support, and a genuine desire to help each family feel confident and cared for.

Now, we’re excited to bring our shared passion for birth and our heart for serving military families to Colorado Springs—together.

What is a Doula

A doula (/ˈduːlə/), also known as a birth companion and post-birth supporter, is a non-medical person who assists a person before, during, and/or after childbirth, as well as her spouse and/or family, by providing physical assistance and emotional support.

Did you know that having a doula has been shown to decrease the time you’re in labor by 25%, reduce your chance of a C-section by 50% and decrease your likelihood of needing an epidural by 60%? We aren’t technically superheroes but…

OUR ROLE AS YOUR DOULAS

As doulas, we provide physical, emotional, and informational support—not medical care. We do not perform clinical tasks or make decisions for you. Instead, we help you understand your options, ask questions, communicate your preferences, and feel confident making informed decisions throughout your birth.

Our hope is that you leave your birth feeling heard, supported, and proud of the way you navigated your experience.

THE BENEFIT OF A DOULA DUO

With two doulas working together, you get the reassurance of continuous support with a built-in backup. You’ll meet and build a relationship with both of us throughout your pregnancy, so when the time comes, you’ll have a familiar, trusted doula by your side.

We share prenatal visits, education, and on-call responsibilities, allowing us to support you with fresh hands and perspective when labor is long or especially challenging. If labor extends beyond 12 hours, we may also switch out so you can continue receiving continuous support while your doula gets a chance to rest and recharge.

Most importantly, you’re not just hiring one doula—you’re gaining two women who genuinely care about you, your birth, and your family.

What We Offer

Our goal is to help you feel informed, confident, supported, and cared for throughout your pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum.

• Complementary Meet + Greet — We’ll talk about your pregnancy, birth preferences, concerns, and what you’re looking for in a doula. You’ll have the opportunity to meet us, ask questions, review our contract, and decide if we’re the right fit for your family.

• Prenatal Visits (up to 2) — We’ll spend time getting to know you and your partner, discussing your birth preferences, preparing for labor, and practicing comfort measures and positions.

• Resources — Access to comprehensive birth resources to help you feel prepared and confident throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth—including stages of labor, comfort measures, labor and pushing positions, local resources and more.

• Personalized Birth Planning — Guidance in creating a birth plan that reflects your preferences while also helping you prepare for the unexpected

• Continuous Labor Support — Physical, emotional, and informational support throughout active labor and the immediate postpartum period. We’ll be on call for your birth beginning approximately 2 weeks before your estimated due date through delivery.

• Comfort Measures — Relaxation and breathing techniques, massage, counter-pressure, movement, and positioning throughout labor

• Labor & Pushing Positions — Suggestions and hands-on support to help you find positions that feel comfortable and support your birth goals. Vanessa is Spinning Babies® trained and Kris is training in the Body Ready Method..

• Birth Comfort Tools — We have a variety of tools available for your labor, including a TENS unit, Kaya Birth Stool, CUB inflatable birth stool, birth ball, rebozo, and other comfort essentials

• Immediate Postpartum Support — We’ll stay for a short time after birth to help you get settled, answer questions, assist with initial feeding, and make sure you’re comfortable before we leave.

• Postpartum Visit — We’ll check in with you after birth and provide a postpartum visit approximately 5–10 days later, or sooner if needed.

Add-on Services Available

• Childbirth Education — Group, private, or semi-private classes are available to sign up for to help you and your partner prepare for birth

• Professional Photography — The option to preserve the beautiful moments of your pregnancy, birth, and those early days at home with your newborn

BIRTH DOULA DUO $1800

Our doula package is designed to provide you with continuous, personalized support from pregnancy through postpartum. We support all types of births and birth plans, while bringing a special passion for helping families prepare for physiologic, low-intervention birth when that is their goal.

Your investment includes:

• Complimentary Meet + Greet

• 1–2 prenatal visits

• On-call support beginning approximately 2 weeks before your estimated due date

• Continuous labor and birth support

• Hands-on comfort measures, positioning, breathing, and relaxation techniques

• Access to our birth resources and comfort tools

• Immediate postpartum support

• Postpartum follow-up visit

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION + Birth DOULA DUO $2,250

Students enrolled in our comprehensive childbirth education course will receive scheduling priority on our Birth Doula Duo services. The connection we build throughout the course, combined with the knowledge and tools you’ll gain, will help you and your partner feel informed, confident, and empowered as you prepare for your birth. COMPLETE BIRTH PACKAGE $4,000 ($4,350 value)

Our most comprehensive package, bringing together birth education, doula support, and photography so you can feel prepared, supported, and beautifully document this transformative season.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

INSURANCE

We proudly accept TRICARE insurance to cover birth doula services for military families.

If you have insurance other than TRICARE, you will be considered a cash-pay client. However we can provide a Superbill upon request for clients who may be eligible to seek reimbursement through their insurance provider.

CASH PAY

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required for cash-pay clients to reserve your due date on our calendar. The remaining balance is due by 36 weeks gestation.

We want quality birth support to feel accessible. Payment plans are available for our cash pay clients, and we’re happy to discuss options that work for your family.

Payment options: Zelle, check, or Venmo. Please note that a 2% processing fee applies to Venmo payments.
