“Having Vanessa during the pregnancy and at the birth was absolutely invaluable. We took childbirth education classes with her and my husband's fears completely dissolved. When I went into labor, we both felt so prepared, there wasn't an ounce of panic. She set up a space for us to labor at her house so we were near the hospital; it was so peaceful and relaxing. She was there every step of the way from pregnancy and even after birth. We are so unbelievably thankful for her, we couldn't even imagine what it would have been like without her. I would recommend her to every single person I know. No one should ever give birth without her. This was our last child, but I feel like I could do it again and again because it went so well. My first two births were so traumatic, I didn't think there was such a thing as a calm birth but she proved me wrong. We are forever so grateful for her, and we are so thankful to have her now as a friend. If you need a doula, stop looking because there is no other option, she is the best. Thank you so much for everything, you turned my past trauma into something so beautiful and I can't thank you enough!”

“Vanessa was fantastic. I “accidentally” went natural with my second child, so for my 3rd, I wanted to be more prepared and in control of my labor. Vanessa’s prenatal classes really helped me to feel informed about what to expect during each stage of labor. My husband and I really appreciated her house call where she showed him how he can best support me during labor, and how to provide pain relief and counter pressure. When it was time for me to deliver my baby, Vanessa arrived with perfect timing and created such a calming space. She was so in-tune with my needs. I know that her suggestions for position changes is what helped progress my labor so quickly, and made me feel informed control of my labor. She advocated for me when I was unable to and involved my husband in supportive measures, which provided an intimate experience for both of us to welcome our baby. I would recommend her to ANYONE considering a doula for their birth!”

“I had the pleasure of having Vanessa as my doula for my second child (13years apart). Her warmth and energy made me feel so at ease when I first met her. Her knowledge and expertise showed she was well versed in the all different birth stories and was prepared for anything. I also appreciated her holistic approach and modalities. During labor she knew exactly when to step in and when to let my husband and/or daughter support me. She brought so much comfort in the room and breathed encouraging and supportive words when I needed them most. I also had her take photos and she captured so many raw, real and beautiful moments (highly recommend) without diminishing her role as a doula. “Vanessa was absolutely incredible and the best support I could’ve hoped for during my quick and intense labor. She was the encouragement I wanted, the coach I needed, and a friend that was a wonderful blessing to me during my pregnancy and after birth. All of my family and best friends are hundreds of miles away and Vanessa was so supportive and was always checking in on me. She even made time to grab coffee and go on a walk with me just to chat. It was so nice to have someone really invest in their clients. “10/10 recommend! Vanessa was incredible and helped me to have the perfect birth that I couldn't have planned better. She was there throughout my pregnancy, always checking in and very responsive. When it came to the night of my delivery, I texted her after 11pm and she responded right away, she was getting ready to head to my house when we decided it was better to meet at the birth center. She was so helpful through the whole birth, reminding me to listen to my body. After baby was born she was right by our side making sure we had everything we needed. Choose Birth Well and you wont be disappointed!“
